Street Dedication Ceremony

In Honor of PFC. Anton A. “Tony” Bugala, USMC

PFC. Bugala was a member of Echo Company, 1st Marine Raider Battalion who gave his life in defense of our nation on 14 September 1942 at the battle of Edson’s Ridge on the Island of Guadalcanal.

PFC. Bugala enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. while living on Walker Ave. in East Patchogue on a farm directly across from what is now the Verne W. Critz Elementary School.

The dedication is being made possible through the joint effort of our local elected officials, VFW Post #8300, Hagerman Fire Department and South Country Ambulance.

After the dedication ceremony the community is invited back to the Hagerman Firehouse located at 510 Oakdale Ave. East Patchogue, NY 11772 for a light lunch sponsored by the South Country Ambulance Company.
